A round table conference was held at Vremia Information Agency, as part of the Without Fear to Insurance Project.

TAS IG asks independent experts, representatives of other insurance companies and state bodies, journalists and other people to participate in discussing a current situation on the insurance market during round table conferences.

Main speakers at the Dnipropetrovsk round table conference were: Dmytro Grytsuta (Chairman of the Management Board of TAS IG), Olena Reshetnikova (Head of Dnipropetrovsk District Management Board of TAS IG), Olexandr Chentsov (independent expert; representative from Motor (Transport) Bureau of Ukraine), Viktor Kudlai (Chairman of Territorial Administration in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kirovohrad oblasts for State Commission on Regulating Financial Service Markets of Ukraine), Leonid Shvets (member of the Management Board of Mega Police Insurance Agency), Volodymyr Aulov (top-manager of corporate business VSK Ukrassist LLC).

The participants of the round table conference stressed the importance of transparent discussions pertaining to topical issues on insurance, and a need of informing consumers on insurance opportunities and risks. The discussion also covered current problems in activities of insurance companies.

“Unfortunately, not all insurance companies manage to abide by principles of professional approach and high quality of services, during the economic turndown. There established a great number of companies that are dumping the market. As a result, many clients get defrauded because they have purchased a low quality service at a low price. A cheap service cannot be of quality. That’s why our Insurance Group provides a consumer with complete information on what he/she obtains by signing a contract with us”, Olena Reshetnikova (Head of Dnipropetrovsk District Management Board of TAS IG) said during her speech.

The round table conference was being held with active discussions. Media representatives had many questions, especially popular questions related to fraudulent actions of insurants and motor insurance – the most wide-spread type of insurance among car owners.

Without Fear to Insurance is a series of round table conferences held on the initiative of TAS Insurance Group in Ukraine’s largest cities – Kyiv (8 Sep 09), Dnipropetrovsk (15 Sep 09), Donetsk (16 Sep 09), Odesa (22 Sep 09), Lviv (24 Sep 09), and Cherkasy (30 Sep 09). Chief executives of TAS IG, independent experts and journalists will attend the round table conferences. The round table conferences are open for attendance. The principle task of this initiative is to explode the existing myths and prejudices about insurance, by providing high-quality and reliable information on the peculiarities of Ukrainian insurance market.
