TAS Insurance Group paid for loss to its clients over 50 million hryvnias in January-May 2009.

Chairman of the Board of TAS Insurance Group Dmytro Grytsuta said: «Largest amounts of indemnities in May were related to motor insurance as it was in previous months. The share of indemnities under the motor insurance makes up 89% in 2009, including motor casko insurance — 67%, and MTPL insurance — 19%».

TAS IG made its largest loss payments (over 100,000 hryvnias) in May under motor casko insurance contracts. In particular, 192,700 hryvnias and 177,900 hryvnias were paid to two insureds by the Kyiv Regional Branch, over 141 thousand hryvnias — to an insured at Donetsk Regional Branch; 107.5 thousand hryvnias — to an insured at Zhytomyr Regional Branch; and UAH110.2 thousand — to an insured at Vynnytsia Regional Branch.

The biggest loss amount (328,200 hryvnias) was paid by TAS Insurance Group to an insured of the Cherkasy Regional Branch (for the Lexus theft) in May. Another 300 thousand hryvnias were paid to an insured by the Sumy branch (the insured’s Mercedes was damaged as a result of fire).

The total number of claim reports drawn up in May 2009 by TAS Insurance Group equals 2486.
