TAS Insurance Group keeps its tradition of running in-house mini-football tournaments. As we reported, the Company organized and carried through four football tournaments. Two of them were organized for TAS IG employees from all Ukrainian oblasts, and one tournament was running with the participation of Kyiv journalists. The last in-house tournament held in January this year fell outside the range of TAS Insurance Group as 16 contesting teams included not only employees of TAS IG, but also representatives of Biznes Standart Bank, TAS Insurance Company (TAS-life), and managing company of TAS Investment and Financial Group. The tournament winners were as follows: TASKIR team from TAS IG Kirovohrad Branch, A-TAS team from TAS IG Head Office, journalists’ team from the Kommersant (КоммерсантЪ) newspaper and the team of Biznes Standart Bank.

Next TAS IG Cup mini-football tournament is scheduled for 19 September 2009 in Kyiv at the TsSKA sport complex. Only Company employees will be participating there (legionaries are not permitted to compete pursuant to new rules). Requests for participation will be accepted till 20 August 2009. A calendar of games will be formed depending on the number of teams that have submitted applications.

Deputy Chairman of the Board TAS IG, Head of tournament organizational committee Maxym Gapchuk says: “Initially, we planned to run the tournament in summer, but as other events were held in summer by TAS IG – seminars, meetings, including the TAS IG All-Ukrainian Forum – we decided to shift it to the beginning of autumn. We expect the number of competing teams not be decreased. Maybe, some teams will unite to represent several regional subsidiaries. We once again offer companies incorporated into the TAS Investment and Financial Group to put up their teams for the tournament. As before, an objective of this great sports event is to consolidate the team spirit among our employees. We have many football fans who adore to spend time playing football. Winning teams will be certainly awarded. Valuable gifts will be bestowed to teams ranking second and third. The tournament winner will be awarded with the Cup and a special prize from TAS IG top managers.
