TAS Insurance Group (TAS IG) paid for losses UAH 6,782,500 to its clients from 10 to 14 August 2009.

The largest amounts of insurance indemnity were paid out under motor casco insurance contracts, agricultural manufacturer risk insurance and voluntary accident insurance.

In particular, TAS IG paid 150,700 hryvnias for a Mitsubishi damaged in a road accident (the insurance contract had been concluded in the TAS Head Office). An agrarian from Cherkasy oblast received almost 100 thousand hryvnias for rapeseed crops damaged by frost. According to the Head of TAS IG Department for Agricultural Risk Insurance Yuri Zolotar, the client has been cooperating with TAS IG for 4 years and received indemnities several times, but it’s the first time that he was paid such a great amount. The insurance contract had been concluded at Cherkasy Regional Branch of TAS IG.

Besides, TAS IG paid for losses 80,000 hryvnias under a voluntary accident insurance in connection with the death of a loan debtor. The indemnity was transferred to the bank for covering the debtor’s loan.

Other great amounts of indemnity within the specified period – 50 thou to 150 thou hryvnias – were paid out by TAS IG under motor casco insurance policies concluded at the Head Office, Kyiv, Cherkasy and Volyn Regional Branches and Kherson Branch for cars damaged in a road accident and for one stolen car.
