On Saturday, September 19, 2009, a regular TAS Insurance Group Cup Autumn Mini-Soccer Tournament was held. The competition was organized at TsSKA sport complex. 14 teams were qualified for the tournament, 9 teams were from TAS Insurance Group, and 5 – from other companies included into TAS Investment and Financial Group.

The TAS IG Cup was granted to the Head Office A-TAS team headed by the Chairman of the Board of TAS IG Dmytro Grytsuta. It was the second A-TAS’s victory in the tournament history.

TASKIR team of Kirovohrad Branch TAS IG headed by Director of Kirovohrad Branch Yuri Dryha ranked second. That team also ranked second on the tournament held in January this year. ROAGRO team led by Serhiy Perepelytsia, Deputy Director for company development was a debutant in the championship and managed to rank third.

Captain of A-TAS team Dmytro Grytsuta saved two balls in the penalty shootout of the final game and was declared the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Denys Shepytko, A-TAS’s forward, was announced the best player, and Serhiy Sobko of TASKIR – the best defender.

Deputy Chairman of the Board TAS IG and Head of Organizational Committee of the tournament said: “This time several renewed teams from regional subsidiaries of TAS IG participated in the tournament, including brand new teams ROAGRO and T-Capital that represented an agrarian and investment lines of TAS Investment and Financial Group. The newcomers turned out to be rather strong, thus, making the games more interesting. The fact that match results depended on penalty shootouts bespoke almost equal abilities of finalists, and each of them could have won the first prize, for example, the BusinessBank team from Business Standard bank that ranked fourth.”

I’m sure the next TAS IG Cup games will be no less interesting and entertaining. Many teams came back with a serious intention to work out better in order to win the next Cup. One of them is a united team Tornado of Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytsky Branches of TAS IG that shown a wonderful performance and can be a real challenger for victory next time. We are going to keep on the tradition of holding TAS IG Cup mini-soccer tournaments”, noted Chairman of the Management Board of TAS IG Dmytro Grytsuta.

As reported earlier, TAS IG has organized and held four soccer tournaments.
