TAS Insurance Group (TAS IG) paid 2,160 thousand hryvnias for losses to its clients last week (Oct 5-9), including UAH 1.8 million for insured events occured in Ukraine, over EUR 7,000 under Green Card contracts, and $36,500 under medical costs coverage for travellers abroad.

The largest amount of indemnity paid within the specified period was UAH 105,000. The amount was transferred under motor casco insurance contract for a Volkswagen Passat damaged in a road accident.

TAS IG paid other large indemnities –UAH 40,000-100,000 – under motor casco contracts as well.

Mrs. Sokolova, Head of Loss Settlement and Insurance Follow-up Division of Medical and Personal Insurance Department says: “Last week, TAS IG paid for loss over $4,000 for repatriating insured’s body from Ukraine to Turkey who had died as a result of an accident. Our company makes significant payments to people who go abroad for vacation. People address to us in connection with injuries, acute diseases, otitis or gastritis.”
