TAS Insurance Group (TAS IG) paid for a loss over UAH 170 thousand to a Ukrainian insurance company under a reinsurance treaty. The indemnity was paid for a helicopter (owned by a Ukrainian company) that had been involved in extinguishing a fire in Turkey and destroyed as a result of falling into a water body.

Head of Treaty Reinsurance Department of TAS IG Svitlana Shkarban said: “Our Company has been providing avia casco reinsurance cover to that national insurance company for 4 years now. The indemnity was paid under an insured event occurred in Turkey.”

In total, TAS IG paid for losses to its clients over UAH 2 million last week (26-30 Oct 2009).

Other large amounts of indemnities (UAH 30,000 – UAH 100,000) were paid under motor casco insurance contracts concluded at Kharkiv Regional Branch, and Luhansk and Chernivtsi branches of TAS IG.
