IG TAS joint-stock company improving procedures for settlement of insurance claims
On Dec 1, 2009, PRIVATE JOINT-STOCK COMPANY TAS INSURANCE GROUP (TAS IG (private)) established a new organizational structure of the Claims Settlement Service that comprises three departments: Regional department (headed by Mr Myzyniuk), Central department (headed by Mr Bazhan) and Department of Methodology, Analysis and Control (Director – Olexandr Zavyriukha), as part of implementing the project “Improvement of Settlement Service Operations at TAS IG (private)”. Main functions of the Regional department of the Claims Settlement Service are making decisions on common insurance claims. The Central Department of the Claims Settlement Service will deal with settlement of more complex claims. The Department of Methodology, Analysis and Control will not only develop methods of settlement, upgrade skills of the staff, deal with analysis and reporting, but also conduct investigation aimed at preventing insurance frauds in relation to TAS IG (private). Employees at regional TAS branches will retain their functions of collecting documents and communicating with customers. Chairman of the Board TAS IG (private) Dmytro Grytsuta said that regional branches of the Company will be fully focused on working with clients and providing them with top quality service. Mr Grytsuta underlined: “Decisions on claims will be made in shortest possible terms and in an unbiased manner.” Since 1 December 2009, loss reserving is going to be centralized and performed at the Head Office of TAS IG (private). Functions of the Customer Support Center will also be changed. Employees of the Center will enter information received from clients about loss occurrence into special forms in an IT system. A client will have to specify his surname and car identification number in order to get advice. IT system of the company can provide recommendations concerning further actions of an insured depending on an risk insured and circumstances of the event. The company is going to introduce changes to the approach of checking data on insurance cases. The IT system used by TAS IG (private) is based on Audatex software enabling to define and control the cost of restoration of vehicles. All the specified current developments apply only to the settlement of losses under motor casco and MTPL. |
