Private joint-stock company TAS Insurance Group (TAS IG (private)) paid for losses to its clients UAH 2,877,000 on 1 to 5 February 2010.

The largest loss amounts were paid under motor caso insurance contracts concluded at Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Western and Zaporizhia regional branches, Sumy branch and the Head office of TAS IG (private). E.g., almost UAH 70 thou was paid to en insured legal entity for a Mercedes Benz damaged in a road accident. That insurance contract had been signed at the Head Office of TAS IG (private).

Other large loss amounts were UAH 30,000 to UAH 70,000 for cars Volkswagen Golf, Mitsubishi Lancer, Dacia Logan, Ford and Lexus ES 300 damaged in accidents.

Besides, TAS IG (private) paid for the loss of 51,000 hryvnias under a compulsory motor personal accident insurance policy. The related insured event occurred at Horodishche – Rivne – Starokonstantyniv highway as late as September 2007. The driver died in the line of duty as a result of a road accident through the fault of another driver who drunkenly drove in the wrong carriageway. The payment was transferred to the widow of the dead driver after the woman had entered upon an inheritance. The insurance contract had been concluded at Rivne branch of TAS IG (private); the motor transport enterprise acted as an insured.
