TAS Insurance Group to run a regular mini-soccer tournament in March

Private joint-stock company TAS Insurance Group (TAS IG (private)) has commenced preparations for a regular corporate mini-soccer tournament. The TAS Spring Cup is planned to run in Kyiv on March 13, 2010. Teams of all subsidiaries and branches of the company, including companies of Investment and Finance Group TAS are welcome to participate. Applications are accepted till 23 February 2010. Then, the games schedule will be developed.

Maksym Hapchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Board of TAS IG (private), head of the organizing committee of the tournament, said: “Taking into account a very frosty winter and complicated road situation, we have decided to run a regular TAS Cup in March, not in January, as usual. We have again invited soccer teams of all companies of IFG TAS, because the autumn tournament showed that the participation of all teams improves the competition and makes the games more interesting. The teams should be comprised of company employees. Professional players are not admitted to the game. From the organizational point of view, the TAS Spring Cup will not differ from previous tournaments. I hope it will run on a top level. We’ll see the level of our players during the games. I am sure that all the teams have worked hard to enhance their skills, and, maybe, we will see new discoveries and awardees. Traditionally, teams who ranked second and third will be awarded with precious gifts, and the Cup winner will receive a special prize from top managers of TAS IG (private). We are going to organize a traditional contest for fans as well.
