On 22 September 2009, a round table conference Without Fear To Insurance was held at a conference hall of the 100% Media Holding (the city of Odessa).

The round table conference Without Fear To Insurance organized by TAS Insurance Group gathered insurance experts, representatives of related organization, business, media and city dwellers.

The main objective of the event is to provide a consumer with reliable and quality information about options and risks of insurance.

Head of South Regional Branch of TAS IG Nataliya Khomenko said that a low popularity of insurance in Odessa Oblast is due to a lack of insurance related knowledge with a consumer. “The consumer just does not know evident advantages of this kind of financial services. At present, the main source of the knowledge is insurance companies, but this is not correct since an insurance company is a party interested in selling its own services. Insurance should be driven mainly with the state and highlighted in media more actively. We believe that by discussing this topic in public and attracting independent experts, we’ll be able to motivate people for voluntary insurance.”

Independent commissioner, representative of Motor (Transport) Bureau of Ukraine in Odessa Mr. Sarafanyuk supported Khomenko’s opinion and noted that a common person is not aware of how much to spend for an insurance policy and does not understand importance of it. He maintained that insurance is a guarantee of financial stability of a family in unforeseen situations.
